All year round
The prevailing winds are NE and SW. Both these winds are cross shore. St Lucia is a remote town and the beaches are long and white. Both winds generate large swells. Stay clear of the river Mouth as there are plenty of sharks there and currents are strong.
Kiting is good all year round particularly from August to December. Water is about 22 deg here all year round.
